Weltenburger Kloster - Kellerbier - 500mL

Kellerbier is an unfiltered, naturally cloudy lager from Klosterbrauerei Weltenburg, the oldest monastery brewery in the world, brewing in Kelheim since 1050. The name means "cellar beer" — a traditional, unpretentious style historically drawn straight from the lagering cellar without fine filtration, leaving it rustic and full of natural character.

Brewed in accordance with the Reinheitsgebot using pale and dark barley malts with Herkules, Perle and Tradition hops, it's a bottom-fermented speciality beer that pours an amber colour with a natural haze and a fine-pored, compact head. The aroma is delicately yeasty, leading to a mild, velvety palate with a slim, malty body and a light hop note, finishing pleasantly crisp.

At 5.0% ABV, it's a smooth, characterful lager that pairs perfectly with Obatzter (Bavarian cheese spread) and savoury beer dips.
