Helle Weisse is a classic Bavarian hefeweizen from Klosterbrauerei Weltenburg, the oldest monastery brewery in the world, brewing in Kelheim since 1050. This is the wheat beer in its most traditional, full-bodied form — top-fermented, naturally cloudy, and brimming with the fruity yeast character that defines the southern German Weissbier tradition.

Brewed from wheat malt and pale barley malt with Herkules, Perle and Tradition hops, it pours a hazy golden colour topped by a fine, compact head. The aroma is fruity and delicately tart with the signature soft banana note, leading to a spritzy, refreshing palate that's fruity and full-bodied through to a clean finish.

At 5.4% ABV, it's a wonderfully refreshing wheat beer that pairs especially well with hearty fish dishes, Viennese-style fried chicken and veal.
