Bamberg's specialty is a dark, bottom-fermented smoke beer, brewed with Original Schlenkerla Smokemalt from the Schlenkerla maltings and tapped according to old tradition directly from the gravity-fed oakwood cask in the historical brewery tavern.

I liked the beer, but...

I liked the beer, quite dark almost like a stout, but better. The keg on the other hand. I thought I would be able to get a few days out of it, maybe a week. It was going flat by the 2nd day, completely flat on the 4th day. I was closing the top vent and the tap, but I guess it really is all at once for this. Still, nice novelty, and good to try a beer I've never had before.
