Dunkles Radler is a dark shandy from Klosterbrauerei Weltenburg, the oldest monastery brewery in the world, brewing in Kelheim since 1050. The Radler — German for "cyclist" — is the traditional Bavarian thirst-quencher, and this version gives it a rich twist by blending dark beer rather than the usual pale lager with sparkling lemonade.

It's a fine-brewed mixture of 50% Weltenburger Barock Dunkel — the three-time World Beer Cup gold medallist, named the world's best dark beer — and 50% zesty lemon lemonade. The caramel and gentle roasted notes of the dark lager harmonise beautifully with the bright, refreshing citrus, creating a uniquely flavoursome and intensely drinkable refreshment.

At just 2.3% ABV, it's the perfect lighter option for a hot summer's day or after sport. Please note this is a mixed beer drink and is not brewed to the Reinheitsgebot, as it contains lemonade with sugar and sweeteners.
